BRIT School names music wing after Nile Rodgers

23 09 2019

The BRIT School has honoured veteran pop musician Nile Rodgers, naming one of its music wings after him, in recognition of the financial support as well as guidance and opportunities he's given many of the institution's students.

Stuart Worden, Principal of The BRIT School, commented 'Nile Rodgers is the soundtrack to our lives: funk, disco, R'n'B, rock, hip-hop - so many styles that have influenced so many incredible artists and he is an inspiration to every one of our students. We’re so grateful for the generosity of his time, his craft, and his financial support... and are honoured to dedicate an area of our Music Department in his name'.
